Group Rules

  These rules apply to participating in our Facebook group. Please also review our Posting Guidelines. For a seamless and positive experience in the group, please ensure you follow all rules and guidelines. Thank you!

Rule 1:

  FREE Personal Belongings for pickup in Brampton ON

  Only free items allowed. No items for sale or trade. Thank you. Provide (a) original photo only; if available, (b) adequate description of item(s), (c) price as $0, (d) own wording indicating "free" in title or description, (e) intersection location. *Brampton pickup or delivery location preferred.* Post to 'Buy and Sell' not 'Discussion' section. Read Posting Guidelines.

Rule 2:

  Disallowed items

  Admin may advise of unaccepted item(s).

  
1. Free live plants, seeds, garden produce, gardening supplies and equipment can be posted to Evermore Giving Gardeners.
2. See FAQs for disallowed items list and examples. Any item may be disallowed for health, safety, legal, condition, perishability or other reason.
3. Baby items, if allowed, may require manufacturer name, model and/or model number for acceptance.

Rule 3:

  Post "Looking For" ads at Brampton Belongings ISO

  **As of May 3, 2022, FREE Stuff Brampton is no longer allowing ISO (in search of) posts. We allowed previous ISO posts to expire.** To add a new "looking for" post, please join Brampton Belongings ISO and post there. Thank you & good luck! :)

Rule 4:

  Posting any of the below is generally prohibited

1. High-value, cash, or cash-value items.
2. Most business*, including employment ads.
3. Anything unrelated to personal belongings or this group, thrift community.

  *Approved businesses may be allowed; posting spam is subject to banning

Rule 5:

  NO Conflict of Interest between group & members

  Objective of FREE Stuff Brampton is to directly support individuals. We believe all community members (aka "the public") should have equal opportunity to acquire needed items for personal or home business use, and be able to do so without restrictions set by private or special interest groups, organizations. As such, participating for main purpose of immediate collection for as-is redistribution to clients is prohibited (see Posting Guidelines and FAQs) and such conflict of interest risks account banning.

Rule 6:

  Answering Participation Questions is required

  **As of Sep 9, 2022, Participation Questions are required to be answered in order to publish posts or comments.** Facebook will automatically alert user to answer questions. This attempt may or may not be successful. You may be requested to submit answers at anytime in order to (a) activate participation in group, (b) continue to participate in group, or (c) update answers to previous questions. If your post was flagged, please contact or follow Admin instructions to resolve. Thank you kindly!

  NOTES

• Rule 1:  Admin will allow some freebie ads to be posted to the 'Discussion' section (i.e. if the donator does not wish to receive private messages, or does not have a photo of the free item). Shared Marketplace freebie ads are posted to the 'Discussion' section by Admin. Please know that ads in our 'Discussion' section are generally given half the time that our donator 'Buy and Sell' ads are allowed to remain active.


• Rule 3:  Admin will share select posts from Brampton Belongings ISO to FREE Stuff Brampton for greater exposure. The posts at the "looking for" group are generally allowed to remain active for about twice as long as our 'Buy and Sell' ads.


• Rule 4:  Freebie ads are also subject to Meta Commerce Policies.


• Rule 6:  Participation Questions can be answered at Crowdsignal if you are unable to activate or answer all questions in Facebook. You can also take a participation test via the group.
